October 13, 2009 - Rep. Holden speaks at the ribbon cutting ceremony to open an expanded aircraft parking apron and taxiway for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard’s 193rd Special Operations Wing, based in Middletown, Pennsylvania. June 15, 2009 - Congressman Holden joined Timothy Edwards, Executive Director of the Harrisburg International Airport, to present the Susquehanna Area Regional Airport Authority with U.S. Department of Transportation grant. The funds will be used for a wastewater treatment facility and rehabilitation of runway lighting. April 9, 2009 - Part of the Read Across America initiative, Congressman Holden visited 5th graders at Foose Elementary, located in Harrisburg, to read Dr. Seuss's Daisy Head Mayzie. April 7, 2009 - Congressman Holden announced a congressional appropriation to the Muhlenberg Township Police Department. The appropriation will fund an infrastructure upgrade project. April 7, 2009 - Congressman Holden toured the production area of East Penn Manufacturing, located in Lyon Station, Pennsylvania. April 7, 2009 - Congressman Holden and Congressman Charlie Dent (PA-15) announced a congressional appropriation for East Penn Manufacturing, located in Lyon Station, Pennsylvania. The appropriation will fund advanced power batteries for renewable energy applications, which will be administered through the Department of Energy's Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Program (EERE.) March 23, 2009 - Congressman Holden announced a congressional appropriation for Dauphin County Social Services. The appropriation will fund family, group and at-risk youth counseling. March 16, 2009 - Congressman Holden joined representatives from the Schuylkill Medical Center, Schuylkill Women in Crisis, Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation, and Schuylkill Transportation Systems to announce congressional appropriations for each organization. March 13, 2009 - Congressman Holden announced a congressional appropriation for the City of Lebanon Police Department and the County of Lebanon Transit Authority (COLT). The funding for the City of Lebanon Police Department will be used for technology upgrades. The funding for COLT will be used for an additional Fixed Route Vehicle February 27, 2009- Congressman Holden attended the dedication of Harrisburg School District's Reading Recovery Room. The Reading Recovery Room is a unique training center, created to support the literacy learning of all students in the Harrisburg School District. February 5, 2009 - The Hershey Volunteer Fire Company hosted Congressman Holden, as well as members from the Lower Swatara Volunteer Fire Department and the Grantville Volunteer Fire Company for the announcement of Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG)
